According to general relativity (GR), about 95\% the universe is made of dark components. Therefore, it is natural to look for corrections from GR to avoid this huge blank. In this seminar, I will point out some mathematical and observational constraints on a class of modified theories of gravity using a couple of classical mechanics analogues.
