I will focus on scenarios involving heavy new physics that couples mostly to the third family of Standard Model fermions. After motivating this class of models, I will show what current electroweak, flavor, and collider data can teach us about them. I will also comment on the mid- and long-term prospects for constraining these models, with a focus on the Z-pole run of FCC-ee.
